Koeman has said that Pennington is ready, previously.

I think he will go with...

Joel

Holgate Pennington Williams Jagielka Baines

Davies Schneiderlin Gana Barkely
Rom

No Morgan, expect Mirallas to start with Gana and Davies in centre midfield.

I would like to see a more offensive side but I think this is what it will be.

Hoping he does not start Barry although if Henderson and Lallana are out, he may be tempted.

I wouldn't say Cahill as much but I can recall Weir, Neville, Osman all being examples of players inhibiting the chances of others by being constantly selected.

Gareth Barry should not be starting matches for Everton at 36. Spurs yes he was atrocious but don't forget how we absolutely crumbled against the RS at Goodison when he came on.

Against Hull/WBA you can get away with it because they are poor sides who don't/can't press. Starting him against the likes of Spurs and Liverpool is basically 3 points suicide.

..I don't think Barry 'crumbled' in the home Derby. Losing McCarthy was a blow but we were already up against it for the final 15mins of the first half. Generally speaking we held out well defensively when Barry came on. It was the offensive players who were at fault, Barkley sat comfortably in Hendersons pocket, Lukaku offered no relief to a team under the cosh and the wide players failed to push either full back into their own half.

Take that team. Anything but Barry starting

Agree the attacking players gave us very little, but there's no doubt we lost the midfield battle as soon as Barry came on for McCarthy. The whole team dropped 10 yards further back and we couldn't get up the pitch.

Is Besic fit again? I don't mean to keep moaning about Barry, but he would be the worst possible option for this game (and in truth, I'd really love to see Mo making some boss sliding tackles again). I doubt he would start anyway as he has been out an eternity.
Looks like Morgan will make judging by OS video

I'm petrified of Barry playing in this one. I think if Koeman trusts others in the absence of Morgs/McCarthy (Davies in the middle of the park, Besic? etc) we will have as good a chance as any. And I think we have to go 5-3-2

..I agree it was a blow losing McCarthy but look at the last 15mins of the first half and it was already a rearguard action. Perhaps McCarthy's injury was already having an impact but that whole performance wasn't down to McCarthy or Barry, Barkley was nothing short of useless and Lukaku offered nothing. Here's hoping they turn up on Saturday.

How can anyone think we will win when we haven't won in 17 years that's utterly abysmal!
Lukaku and Barkley are playing the best football of their lives atm, so we stand as good a chance as we have ever had. Its unfortunate that Seamus and potentially Schneiderlin might be out, but they are also missing some key players.

Form means nothing in this well maybe it does in the mind set. Everton have to stand up and show what we've not for a long time in this to achieve anything. Plus they've been beaten once in the league and people think we're guna Rock Up and beat them lol

Really? From what I've witnessed almost everyone is pessimistic about this game. I do agree that this game has always been a mindset issue, but in terms of an away fixture against Liverpool, this has been our best shot in some time. Liverpool don't have a recognized striker and their defense is very fragile at times. I believe they will win, but Liverpool could choke as well. They have 4th place riding on the next 9 games, and they could go either way mentally.
