This is a draw at best and we'll probably lose by at least two goals. Too many Stockholm victims still on that squad. We need more players that don't hold them and their record against us in awe. Walk the dog lads and focus on Utd which I do think we can win.

Yeah Baines would stick an OG in if we were one up in the 90th minute. I don't think he's ever played well against them, he looks absolutely terrified when he plays them. Ross needs to turn up as well.

I can't see us winning, it's Anfield.

Likely lineup:

GK: Joel
DR: Holgate
DL: Baines
DC: Jagielka
DC: Williams
MC: Gueye
MC: Davies
MC: Barry
AMC: Mirallas
AMC: Barkley
FC: Lukaku

My favorite formation we run. 4-3-2-1. As long as we don't play back and wait for them to play on the break (especially with Barry) this will work in our favor. Go right for their throats.

If i see Barry on the team sheet I might just cry.....rather drop Davies back and Barkley back. But chances are you may be right

How the hell does Sturridge make it fit every derby when he's never available most of the season? Always makes it for this game can't wait for him to sod off to West Ham in the summer.

Every team has a 'bogey' team. That one team that they never seem to get the rub of the green against, the one team against whom they regularly have bad luck.
Our bogey team just happen to be our neighbour and biggest rivals.
The one positive is that bogeys never last forever. ALL bogeys come to an end. This one ends on Saturday.
0-2 Rom and Ross to score.
Our period of dominance is coming. 10 years from now THEY will be cr**ping themselves at the very thought of a derby.

Been thinking about all the other trips to Anfield and how a part of me thought we would win, then the abject humiliation after it, and then the usual "why do I make myself believe we had a chance, you know they are letdowns."

The reason we are all negative is because we haven't won there in nearly 20 years. Nearly TWENTY YEARS ffs.

Hadn't won there in 14 years before Sharp changed all that then won their the next two years after that, how Iong was it without a win at old Trafford until Oviedo changed all that? Long streaks are just exactly that, streaks, and all streaks come to an end by the very nature of them.

We win this, then next season they will be the ones crapping themselves about losing back to back home Derbies.

In our three away games at the top six, I genuinely haven't seen cause for optimism for Saturday, under Koeman. I am not moaning about the manager but away from home at a big ground it hasn't improved yet.
