We look absolutely frigged on paper. But all I ask is that whatever 11 go there, they play with fight and courage, they get amongst the reds and challenge them mentally. They aren't great and we need to finally show that.

We lose our best center mid, a defensive mid that we'd really need in a game like this, our RB who is in the form of his life, and a CB who is good in the air and would likely play a part in this derby.

Has Everton that written all over it.

1-2 to the Toffs

Book it

Whoever starts, it is of the utmost importance that we don't concede within the first half hour. I can see them pressing like mad all over the pitch at the start but with Henderson and Lallana out they won't have the energy to maintain it. However if they bag one they will be able to counter us to death.

With Henderson and Lallana out you could argue that Barry in midfield wouldn't be as disastrous. Wijnaldum and Can won't be as troublesome and hopefully Gana and Davies can buzz about the field keeping tabs on Coutinho, our back 4 should be able to deal with Firmino and Origi.

Can't overstate however how much Mccarthy has let us down here.

lshame about morgan...but ooking at last derby team, davies was nowhere to be seen...hopefully he can be the difference

most of our injured players are out until the end of season and the end of the year though, theirs will most like all be back within a couple of weeks. We've lost starters and also backups which could have seen us accomodate for their injuries, now we have very very few options.

Guuted that Schniderlin will not be fit. The less said about McCarthy the better.

The biggest news though is the approval of the Docks site.

I am as desperate as the next man to see us get a win at our first stadium, but long-term, the construction of our 3rd is what will change everything for our great club.

COYB's!!!

Tom Davies and Barkley could be key to the game for us tomorrow - lets hope they grow into the game and run riot.

well, thanks to IRL familial emergencies, no matter how this turns out it won't be the worst thing to happen this weekend - by far.

if the lads show up and play their absolute best and pull off a stunner, will be some joy at a time when i could really use it.

Very excited about the prospect of Pennington starting tomorrow.

Joel

Baines
Pennington
Williams
Jagielka
Holgate

Gueye
Davies

Calvert Lewin
Lukaku
Barkley

Means contain and frustrate, but the counter looks superb.

Come on Everton.

Liverpool don't play a proper striker, they have 4 attacking players who roam around. You can't possibly get away with 1 defensive midfielder. I don't want Barry in either but he's certainly a better option in that role than Barkley. Barkley has to stay where he has been brilliant in the last few months.

The real brave move would be to throw Walsh or someone else from the U23's in. But I wouldn't do that myself.
We'll beg to differ, although I see the point about Barkley. I'll stick with my formation though following careful analysis and using all data available, I have us winning 15-12 and second on match of the day.
