Barry will start. There is absolutely no doubt about that now.

It may not as bad as it was going to be if they're missing Lallana and possibly Henderson. Lallana especially is their biggest presser and causes opposition midfielders to make mistakes.

Joel
Holgate - Jagielka - Williams - Baines
Gana - Barry - Davies
Barkley - Lukaku - Mirallas

Be very surprised if this isn't our team. Injuries have took the option away from us to play 3-4-3. It's unfair to give an U23 player his first start of the season away at Anfield. If he does go with it, it'll be Lennon at RWB.

Rumourgoing round that he's injured and will have a very late fitness test tomorrow. I personally don't think he'll be fit.

I think Koeman will play.

Robles
Holgate Williams Jagielka Baines
Davies Gueye Barry
Barkley Mirallas
Lukaku

I would personally have Kenny in for Barry and play.

I just feel we need to minimise the effect of old legs. Nothing we can do at the back but Barry is a slow player too many.

I tweeted this earlier, but Koeman said in his press conference today that Everton have maybe been afraid of playing against Liverpool in the past two seasons.

I'd say he's drastically understating it

This century, Everton have won 4, drawn 12 and lost 20 of the derbies we have played. An entire generation of Everton fans have been brought up on being terrified of playing Liverpool. I can remember being at school in the 90s but looking forward to derby games and our record was pretty decent in them, considering how dreadful we were for most of that decade.

More than anything the mentality that has permeated the fans and the club over the last generation has to change

Regardless of the result, I will be staggered, but pleasantly surprised, if we don't witness the following.

(1) Milner scores from the penalty spot
(2) We get someone sent off
(3) The ref adds an 'imaginary' 9 minutes injury time, if we are 1-0 up.
(4) Barry gets booked
