There will be some recognition of the service Ronnie Moran gave their club for about 50 years. I'm old enough to remember seeing him score a screamer against us at Goodison in a Liverpool Senior Cup Match. Hopefully our support, although fiercely partisan, respects the moment - and then we can resume normal service.

Can anybody remember beating them with a last minute winner ? And before anyone asks I'm 50 and have had 43 years of watching .....honestly cannot recall ever doing it to them but they have done us many times !!!!

The Peter Beardsley winner in 1992 was pretty late, wasn't it? Not this late of course.

I'm contemplating watching the LFCTV matchday live build up from 9.30pm.
It will be total propaganda fluff, but should make the occasion special.
This derby has a different feel to it for me. Hard to explain.

Agree on this, Moran along with the likes of Joe Fagen total respect for. I also hear they are going to mention that little girl who was killed in the week, an awful thing to happen

People on here saying they're not gonna watch it and just check the score at full time - I would give anything to trade places. Will be on a plane for the entire game and the thought of checking the result via google, and finding out the outcome in one horrible second is driving me insane already!

When I was a Lad, we had to wait for the results in the Monday papers (Tuesday for a Sunday game). As one of the rare "wog ball" fans out here, on the edge of the Empire, I had few sympathisers too!!

When I was a Lad, we had to wait for the results in the Monday papers (Tuesday for a Sunday game). As one of the rare "wog ball" fans out here, on the edge of the Empire, I had few sympathisers too!!

Haha I'm referring mainly to the wave of euphoria/devastation (most likely the latter) that it'll all come down to for me....finding out the result in just one split second. Shuddering at the thought!
