Everton have won one of our last TWENTY derbies. So 19 of our last 20 derbies their fans haven't felt the low of a defeat to their rivals. ONE IN TWENTY though. That is a disgrace, honestly.

That is home and away by the way.

..which is why it's perfectly understandable that fans are pessimistic about this game. The Reds have not been significantly better than us over that period yet our team continually surrender to the status quo. It's difficult not to see the same happening today.

I'm going into this with quiet hope and little expectation.

Ordinarily it's difficult for us to win away generally.

Just mightily sick of seeing my fears realised in most of these games though.

A draw is better than the sinking feeling of another defeat though there isn't much between the sides so no need to go out like a League 2 side in a cup tie.

We may well need an element of luck and will certainly need Lukaku on form, supported by the 10 behind him.

What will be will be. COYB.

The depression sinking in that he will have a blinder and once again we'll all be sat on here thinking how it went so wrong again.

He'll get a red card and one of are youngsters will score a late winner. Thief captains already injured. It'll be all a bit of history repeating.

I'm contemplating watching the LFCTV matchday live build up from 9.30pm.
It will be total propaganda fluff, but should make the occasion special.
This derby has a different feel to it for me. Hard to explain.

I'm all eyes?

Joel
Holgate Jags Williams Baines
Davies Barry Gueye
Barkley Lukaku DCL

I would think RK to start with barry rather than lookman or pennington.

Going to be interesting which side Ron picks. Hoping he sets us up too counter attack them .don"t think we have any options with jags and Williams I presume as centre halfs.

Whatever, just hope we have a go. Keep out heads and don't settle for a point from the off
