Longest away trip watching Everton

I went to Santiago in Chile to watch Everton away to universidad. Won 1-0 too and I was interviewed on Chilean TV..

My first ever away game at Plymouth in the fa cup 1975. Took flipping ages on the train

I went there in the back of a van,
Pubs opened at 10am, messy

Longest was Young boys of Bern
Flew from Manchester to Eindhoven,
Hired a 7 seater drove through Germany to Kahlsrure, stayed there the night before game and on to Switzerland next day.
Great trip

Kind of cheating but I watched us play Panathaniokos in a pre-season friendly about 30 years ago. I didn't travel for the match, I was in Athens anyway. There were about 100 blues there!

Went to see both Europe League games in 09/10, no away games for Everton in England yet.

Wankdorf Stadium in Germany. A brilliant away trip.

In my own mind I think that was one of our finest away followings,at least 1500 went to my knowledge,only the Europa league too,I know we took droves to Nuremberg but given the distance and accessibility of the place I thought it was fantastic.

Reggio emilio italy to the atlanta game. great trip except we got battered by them

Benfica when Moyes graced us with about five right backs. Absolutely lashed down after the game too. Drove to Liege and that was ‘lively’ in the home end and the town that night.

The weather that day was awful and I’m glad I was in the stand.
The company I worked for was a PL sponsor and me and my mates “enjoyed” the Pompey hospitality which was like a throwback to the 1950s…no-one seemed to have told them that rationing had ended.
As a sponsor me and my mates presented the MOTM award and had our photo appear in the next Pompey home game programme.
We had a drink with Vince Hilaire in the club bar afterwards and he was very complimentary about Alan Ball and his influence on his career and the club in general.

Nice one mate. All I remember from the day was us winning, getting soaked and a lad next to me well out of it already with chicken curry pie all over his gob kissing me on the side of my head when we scored

Got locked in the ground til about 1am cause Torcida Split wouldn't move from the away exit "lol:

Got back to town by foot as the 3 busses they put on, only 1 worked. Think Got back to the city at 2:30 in the morning.

Also Brighton at The Goldstone Ground and Southampton at The Dell, which are probabaly about as far from Liverpool as Rotterdam as the crow flies... (no toilets in the away end at The Dell, you pee'd against the wall at the back with the coppers stood above you on the wall watching the crowd)
