Only Everton could let go of one of the best left backs in the premier league to a rival club at a time when we are heading for a relegation battle due to the poorest run of form in nearly 3 decades lead by an ex kopite who simple didn't like being criticised by him and was too stubborn to sort it out.

Says everything about who Everton Football Club are these days.

Pragmatically, I genuinely can't understand the bed-wetting over the Digne transfer/falling out.

Good clubs should be refreshing all of the time, and the fact that an ageing Digne leaving has been able to secure two highly-rated young players in positions of need is an example of a coherent and mature transfer strategy. On top of this, he hasn't been effective for 12 months

I really hope Lucas gets his chance at a top club to win trophies, he is of the age that he deserves that now.

It should work out to be a win-win.
Good clubs have more than 2 or 3 good players.

Good clubs have effective transfer strategies that allow replacements time to bed in whilst there is effective cover.

Good clubs don't leave things to chance, hoping that the youngsters brought in to a far tougher, faster league in the middle of a relegation don't sink under the weight of expectation of a fanbase at breaking point.

We are building a new boss ground and no ones arsed really because we’re such a mess.

Couldn’t make this situation up.
