Which I don't understand the public statement from Benny, the line should have been we have in Digne a good player we want good players at Everton, So to maintain as much value as we can and sell at the top price Everton can get, then do the PR work on player being mardy when he has gone. And if the young lad replacing is decent and results are positive most will soon forget Digne...
I actually don't think this could have been handled worse financially by undermining our negotiation position or piling on undue pressure on replacement.

My guess is it would depend on who came in but if the new manager came in, tried to mend it and was willing to give him a reasonable role for his skills he'd come around.

I'm not sure he's the one acting out tbh. One side gets to talk to the press every week and has an interest in placing the blame on the other.
