But again you say 18 months he's been tripe, up until his injury under ancelotti last season he was one of our best players. We then went ultra defensive under ancelotti and then paelladyce and his game has been negatively effected. Seems to be a correlation there
You know that, I know that, Dave knows that, but, he’ll never admit it. Agenda don’t you know.

The price is okay considering Digne is 28 and hasn’t been in good form for 12 months. But the process and timing are disasters for our club. In January?? To Villa?? There’s a fair argument that big picture this is the right thing, but if we cared about results this season it wouldn’t be happening. I can’t tell if everyone running the club is more naive or stupid. We’ll get what we deserve with Moshiri and Benitez and Kenwright in charge.

I think your figures arent right mate.

Signed for £18mil.
2.5 years later his value below £9mil.
Extended agreement by 3.5 years
1 year later his value would be below £6.4mil

Thats just on the fees.

I'm not surprised that you're pretending you watch lots of Scottish and Ukrainian football but I'm pleased to see you didn't think you being a wally was one of the things i'd got wrong.

1: You stated £30mil full backs are practically world class. Thats untrue.

2: You stated I had not seen the players before-- Mykolenko literally played the other day.

To be honest posts like
"Youve never heard of him"
"He's unknown"
"You've never seen him play"

...To strangers on the internet always seems a bit daft. Most people making those statements have no self awareness precisely due to that.

I imagine alot of people will have seen Mykolenko play but just not taken an interest. He's been playing internationals while people were claiming they were watching Dumfries lol

£25m is a good and fair deal for him and people need to stop pretending £25m is Chris Wood’s actual value and that wasn’t an absurd desperation panic buy.

100%

Wouldn’t surprise me if Benitez was told if he wants his own players he needs to sell and he’s gone about it the only way he knows how.
This is what he has to do, we can field a team bought by 5 managers, its crazy, he needs to punt deadwood and get his own team, i will take him about 18 months, doesnt matter how he gets them out as long as he does.

I agree this is what needs to happen long term. Am concerned and very disappointed with the manager’s performance to date but I do accept that whoever is in charge the squad needs to be gutted and made fit for purpose.

Hes here 3.5 years mate.

Signed for 18 million
Amortisation of initial 5 year deal is 3.6 million a year.
Hes three years into that so his book price is 7.2 million, obvs you don include .5 years in annual accounts.

In all honesty i was being kind his book price is actually 8-9 mill +, because he extended his contract last season which brought his amortisation down to 1.2 mill odd as opposed to 3.6 in his initial five year contract - so his book price would be higher and not lower then the 7.2 mill, likely 8-9mill, i was being kind.

I think your figures on our two new players aren't right either mate. ;)
