Lukaku - A Fond Farewell

I'm disappointed with the way it turned out, but not bitter. I wish him well and accept that he didn't 'get' Everton.

He clearly didn't see us as the place to achieve his ambition to play at, and win trophies at the highest level in club
football, though I hoped perhaps he might change his mind given recent activity in the transfer market.

The thing that's really turned many against him has been his disrespecting of Everton in the media. I watched him in a long interview on ESPN and he smiled broadly when asked what he thought was a difficult question about his
future at MU, and replied that he didn't want to say anything because it could come and bite him 'like last season', or words to that effect.

I really hope that we show more class than he has and that we don't go through that boring, unoriginal process of booing him when he plays here

We like think that we're different to the rest. Let's show it.

Big fan of him as a player, although he's limited by his donkey moments. As a personality it's good riddance from me. Reckon he was on the right trajectory with us and he's thrown himself in at the deep end now with united. No excuses for him.

He deserved a chance at champions league but he is going to have to improve his hold up and back to goal game to be the player he could be. He will score goals I'm just not convinced he is ready for such a move quite yet. He obviously thinks he is and fair play to him but in the big moments and when teams sit deep he is nowhere near effective enough with his movement and hold up play. He can expect to see a lot more of defenders sitting deep against united than with us so the space in behind won't be as available. Saying that they've got better passers of the ball so we shall see. 179 million for pogba and rom is crazy.

Watching Romelu get interviewed on ESPN in the states made me dislike him for the first time. He wants trophy's, champions league and all that, I can't fault him for wanting to leave. Everton just hasn't produced that much recently, but I am an optimist that will change over the course of the next decade.

Listening to him talk about greatest fans, and then more so talk about how one of his idols is Kobe Bryant... Who is one of mine as well and he aspires to be like him on the pitch. Knowing his work rate and overall skill, I think he's great, but he does not bust his ass at all.

Just my opinion, it's a complete aside and irrelevant. I just know I won't be rooting for him to have any success in the future. And I was going to before, loved the results he gave at Everton... I like Belgium's international side a lot, but not anymore.

Rant over, sorry

Goodbye to our 3rd best striker in the premier league era after Beardsley and Rooney. Thanks for the goals and the 100 million quid

I'm hoping that Rooney has the same impact for us that Beardsley had when he went back to boyhood club ...

That house.

I'm sure I have seen Brazzers porn videos shot there.

Love how he banged on about how great playing at Old Trafford was/is.

Especially when he got schooled by Danny Blind, Rojo, Bailey etc for 4 seasons.

Sometimes when players talk about playing at the top level all I really hear is "I want top level wages".

Watching Rom strut around after signing for Utd and doing those publicity shots came across as a bit....Oooooooish, money!

But that's me. I'm a skint idiot.
