Eric Djemba-Djemba
Player Valuation: £60m
A 1 in 2 strike rate for a 20 year old lone striker in the premier league is nothing short of exceptional.I wouldn't buy Lukaku. He's decent but nothing more.

Being happy at a club doesn't mean you want to commit the next two or three years of your life to them. He was loving life at West Brom last season, can't see him signing for them.
If we don't get in the Champions League qualifier we've no chance and even if we do there will still be other clubs after him imo, can't see him signing a deal until after the World Cup either, his agent would be mad to let him do so prior to all that exposure.
That's the thing I suppose, it all depends on whether he turns into the player everyone thinks he will. If he does then it would be a great buy but it's gone wrong before. I don't really want to see possibly the whole transfer budget gone on him tbh. Hope I'm wrong though! In 2-3 years time, mate. He'll be more than worth it, and in the mean time he'll at least good enough to bag ~15 league which isn't a bad return at all.
like someone said it would be dumb of lukaku to sign with anyone before the WC, just would be bad business on his part. We need to get 4th to keep him most likely
If we somehow get 4th, he's ours IMO. Actually, even 5th may do it.
But it depends on the price. I think £20m+ is excessive myself.
Position hasn't really changed since the day we got him, except that he's maybe more likely to leave Chelsea now because of Mourinho's public comments. If he leaves Chelsea will be looking for £20m plus, there'll be plenty of other European clubs interested (most of whom can offer higher wages than us), and chances are that he'll look for a club who've qualified for the Champions League.
Who are all thes eEuropean clubs who can offer more wages? Outside the top 3 in Spain there's no money, likewise Italy and Germany. That really leaves oil-rich Russians ( but the treatment of black players there should count that direction out), Barca/Real/Athletico, Juve/Milan/Napoli, maybe a rich club like Wolfsburg and a few of the french big boys like PSG and Monaco. Is he going to dislodge the likes of Benzema, Zlatan, Cavanni, Costa, Levazzi, Balotelli etc? I can't see Chelsea selling him to Arsenal or Spurs for obvious reasons.....in comparison to the majority of European clubs ( with exceptions like the previously mentioned) Evertons wages are relatively high.
