Which is a bit of a problem as Roman Abronovich thinks as owner he is.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Mourinho over the next couple of years - Benitez got them to 3rd in the league and won the Europa. Mourinho has spent over 100m gross (+50m net) yet still didn't manage to sign a decent striker. He went out early in both domestic cups, looks to be out of CL and his title race is faltering. Will be very embarrassing for him if both City and Liverpool finish ahead of him.

From the article today about Baines (not a massive footy fan apparently) getting dragged the Utd game it seems like he is well more hands on in getting players to study matches and other players more, will work out beneficial for a lot of them that mentality will, especially the young lads

There was an interview with Baines when he signed his new contract (poss everton tv?) where he talked about how Martinez talks far more about tactics, different systems etc and Baines said something along the lines of "its really great for the lads who are thinking about getting their badges". He managed to avoid pulling a face but it was pretty clear he would have been far happier discussing the Artic Monkeys.

But I agree, as long as Martinez doesn't start acting like AVB and overwhelm them with data that mentality will be helpful to most and very appealing to certain players.

Don't see Martinez being the type to bombard them with stats - even though I'm certain he is massively into analysing them himself, can see him more showing parts of games and just waxing poetic about formations the way the game flows etc

Kind of like most people had a teacher or two in school who made a boring subject fun, just by the way the approached and taught it, if that makes sense

It does and think martinez has better people skills in his left eyebrow than AVB. Can imagine even those who are a bit bored by it at least pretending to listen cos they like him.

I know a decent amount of Porto season ticket holders mate, and they never really rated AVB that highly certainly not compared to Jose, their all blues too and boss lads, hope we get a game vs them next year like as they'll be able to give our lads travelling a lot of help like

Ill be surprised if him and Roberto haven't talked about the possibility of him coming back next Season. I think he's up for it as well.
 
there's going to be loads of clubs interested it, not going to get excited/annoyed by anything until he has signed for something.
 

It would be awesome if we could sign lukaku and maybe let Chelsea have a buy back clause so they might be more inclined to sell to us for a potentially cheaper price. That way mourinho wont seem a complete an utter [Poor language removed] for selling him.

That is one of the best ideas I have seen to date on this issue, only problem is we may not be too keen to let him go!

I cant remember what I called mourinho but my bad for the language haha.

Yeah that's the only worry about my football manager like theory but I'd hope we would keep making progress and the lad would want to stay. But even if we don't get him I really hope he doesn't go to spurs that club and its fans have delusions of entitlement.
 
Not good enough, a very ordinary player and can only play well in a counter attacking team. Doesn't fit in at all at Chelsea.

That were some of the reactions of the deluded Dutch Chelsea bandwagon jumpers.lol
