Lukaku to Spurs

Think he's just leaving all options open to himself by remaining deliberately vague about it all. Him staying is conditional on top four more than likely, but he isn't unmoved by Everton. Give him what he wants and we become an even more attractive proposition to him.

If not at us then where would he end up then mate, given what we know about his ambitions to be playing champions league and to be a guaranteed starter as well as the fee of around 20m he will cost?

He will cost more than 20 mil. When he came to us he was good for 60 mins tops. He now has 90 minutes in him. His overall game will improve because of this.

Andy Carroll cost 35 mil and Suarez has gone from 40 - 80 in one season.

I think we will be paying around 30 mil IF we keep him.

Using Carroll as a benchmark is ludicrous mate, every man and his dog realised that Liverpool at the time payed a stupid amount over his worth

Same question remains i asked though, so where actually fitting the criteria he has set down of wanting to be playing Champions league, wanting to push himself at a higher level each season, and being the guaranteed starter not in a squad rotation and being able and willing to pay a fee of say between 20-30m for arguments sake, where offers that? i can tell ya right now theirs currently a very very small amount of places - maybe none

we get top 4 he is ours 100% mate

Honestly lad the chances of signing him is very very slim

Just enjoy the monster whilst he is here

Disagree mate, I'm pretty sure the deals been sorted verbally already between both managers/clubs contingent on CL qualification thus satisfying the players desires

we get top 4 he is ours 100% mate
I dunno about 100%. I'd say closer to 60%. He does clearly enjoy it here, but he'd be turning his back on a club with enough money to compete flat out in all competitions, Mourinho will come under heavy fire if he isn't recalled and played and we've got to rustle up 20-25m for one player, when we need strengthening all over the pitch if we got top 4. It's more than just a footballing decision for him, there's a few hurdles to overcome.

Much like De Bruyne mate in many ways though, he ended where he wanted to be, not the biggest club in the world, but a club who he knew would give him exactly what he wanted at that stage of his career.

Mourinho honestly does not care about what gets written about his decisions mate, Mata showed that, player of the season 2 years running, bang out of favour, bang gone
De Bruyne, brillaint season on loan, top scorer in qualies for a exciting belg squad, not given a chance at chelsea, then bang hes gone too
Lukaku, farmed out on loan after outscoring all chelsea forwards whilst at west brom this year, has openly courted a big name striker purchase in the window, lukaku aint got a prayer of coming in as the starter mate and he has stated hes not willing to be a number 2 or squad player, he wants to start the big games

as we showed this year mate, using free's, intelligent purchases (McGeady) and the loan market we can strengthen the squad in other areas and simple spend the majority on lukaku - and unless its been creativly accounted away we have the money to buy him plus extra without factoring in tv or champs league money that could come in

Mourinho has always had the attitude of if you don't get 100% aboard on his idea and place for you in the team, then your completely done for him, happened at every club he's been at that people very good got moved on to create space for those who got on board the Jose train

Just off the top of my head Dortmund, Athletico, benfica, Juve. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if liverpool lost sure to have a pop at him.

Last season who would of thourght that Mario gomez would of went to where he went of higuin would of gone to napoli.

If Chelsea want to let him go there will be a lot of interest for the lad. Anyone who doesn't think so is being either very optimistic or very naive.

Interviews like this seem to come across like a lad who is seeing a girl but he only sees it as short term relationship but the girl is talking about marriage and what to name the kids. And the lads just like "yeah hun we'll just see how we go, eh". While slowly backing towards the door.

Benfica couldnt afford him, Liverpool and Juve wouldn't give him the starting role he is demanding mate, Dortmund would have to sell to fund buying him so unless Bayrern give them another windfall like with Gotze they wouldnt be able to afford the fee mate, their getting linekd heavily with some forwards for 8m as example

Unless theirs a major transfer of a player up front for a BIG BIG team creating a ready made vacuum for him where he will come in start every game and be playing in a top league with European footy mate, then i seriously doubt he's gonna be going to anyone besides us

Costa leaving Athletico is the big worry, but even their, i think Courtois is the primary target and they'd insist any deal involves him instead, which is why i don't think that deal will actually happen in the end

I also don't see him going to france or russia just for the money, so leaves maybe 3-4 teams in each of spain, england and italy who could afford him, maybe 2 in germany, theirs not a huge amount of choice actually their for the lad if he wants his goals met

Mourinho isn't going to sell him to who he perceives as title rivals, this automatically rules out Liverpool, Arsenal (who he wouldn't even let Ba go to on loan which ironically allowed us to get Lukaku in the first place), Man Utd and Spurs

This leaves us as Lukaku's only realistic option in the EPL given his price tag, wages and big club requirements

Juve who have they got that's better then Lukaku? And Dortmund champion leauge finalists can't afford him but we can? I don't think so mate. Doubt he's staying here mate and doubt we are going to be the only team after him.
