He won't go to spurs.

Only 2 places he could be next season. Chelsea or Everton.

He loves it here and I think he would like to stay with us.

Chelsea are considering a shock move for Tottenham Hotspurmidfielder Paulinho just a year after the Brazilian moved to White Hart Lane. Spurs could use Chelsea’s interest in Paulinho to boost their bid to sign number one striker target Romelu Lukaku.

Paulinho joined Tottenham for £17million from Corinthians, as part of the north London club’s squad overhaul following the £80m sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid. The capture of the Brazilian international ahead of other interested clubs, such as Real Madrid, was seen as a coup but Paulinho has struggled to show his best form at Spurs.

Having started promisingly under former head coach Andre Villas Boas, Paulinho has not been an automatic pick for Tim Sherwood and was set back by an injury sustained against Stoke in December. Roma and AC Milan are plotting bids to try to take Paulinho to Italy, but Tottenham are also aware of strong interest from Chelsea, who will consider bids for David Luiz and are weighing up different central midfield targets.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is understood to have identified £30m-rated Luiz as a player he wants to sign this summer to strengthen the Germans' defence after their Champions League thrashing at the hands of Real Madrid. Luiz has played more regularly in midfield for Chelsea under Jose Mourinho, but Nemanja Matic will be eligible for next season’s Champions League which will limit the Brazilian’s inclusion even more. With Matic and Ramires at his disposal, Mourinho could look to replace Luiz with more of a box-to-box midfielder who would provide a better alternative to Frank Lampard, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Paulinho was likened to Lampard when he first arrived in England last summer. He has scored seven goals so far this season for Spurs, but the 25-year-old was far more prolific for Corinthians, netting 20 goals in 86 appearances.
Reports in Brazil claim Chelsea’s interest in Paulinho is being encouraged by agent Giuliano Bertolucci, who is said to have played a hand in the moves of Luiz, Ramires and Oscar to Stamford Bridge. Paulinho last month admitted his frustration at Tottenham by saying: “‘I understand the team rotation because that's how it works here, but I am not feeling well or comfortable. I want to be present, I want to play.”

Relations between Chelsea and Tottenham have been strained since the Blues gazumped Spurs to sign Willian for £32m from Anzhi Makhachkala. But with Spurs set to make a summer bid for Chelsea striker Lukaku, an uneasy truce could be called to help the transfer interests of both clubs.

Lukaku has spent the season on loan at Everton, scoring 14 goals, and is valued at £25m by Chelsea. That is roughly the same amount of money Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would demand for Paulinho. Everton are also interested in signing Lukaku permanently, but failure to qualify for the Champions League will make it difficult for them to match Chelsea’s asking price.

Said it before and I'll say it again - going to Spurs would be a dodgy move for him. If he does end up there it will be purely money based.

we've seen it before. one paper makes up a story, few other bigger papers read it and see it being discussed on a forum and go with it.

hahaha

Did you see that kopite ranting and raving on RS TV ? Penfold i think his name was.....

He seemed to think Ba was Chelsea's best player lol
Haha 'RS' tv, but yeah they really are stupid, not saying ba is bad but they were hailing him like a god, hate the presenters, one with the glasses and the chubby one, would love to egg them after we win at anfield whilst they are recording

Just heard on the Belgian radio. Yes, I always have a Belgian channel on that Lukaku might be off to Spurs next season. Their source was a Belgian sportsjournalist I believe, saying that Lukaku could possible join them on loan as a make weight in a deal to take Paulinho to Chelsea.
The lad's going to spend his entire Chelsea career loaned out if this carries on.

Lukaku can't go out on loan again unless he signs a new Chelsea deal, as he's only got 2 years left on his contract and if they're going to cash in on him it'll be this summer, so they can use his fee to subsidise the Costa fee.

If by some miracle we sneak 4th place he might come. That also depends on us having the dough to spend on him.

But, we'll finish 5th most likely and he'll be somewhere else next season. Probably not Chelsea but almost certainly not Everton.

Can see him at Atletico before either us or Spuds tbh. Fluent Spanish speaker, perfect for a counter-attacking side and Belgian links with some Atletico players. Obviously a swap with Costa could be on the cards.

If not, then we have to do all we can to prevent him going to Spurs. Would come back to haunt us if he goes to a CL-pushing rival and we haven't at least attempted to buy him.

The annoying thing is we should have more than enough cash to buy him at 25mil. and still have change left over for another quality signing. We won't though...

if lukaku does not want to come to us because we didnt get ch.league, then fudge him... he is one of the reasons we didnt make it. he has not played up to his standards.

He might of scored today but he's pretty useless most of the time, I will not lose any sleep at all if he decides to go elsewhere. Bony all day for me
