Emphatically this. He is 20, if he was consistently boss then there is no way he would be tearing it up in / trundling about L4 (delete as appropriate), and no way that Mou would be dumb enough to sell him. If there is any chance at all of buying him in the summer we would be absolute fools not to at least make an attempt at getting him.

I don't know. I reckon Rom is a clever lad and can see that signing for us would mean playing for the best young manager in the best league in the world© with some of the countries best young players.
He wouldn't mind scoring goals for fun in europa league as practice for when we qualify for CL next year. I think we'll get him.

Love that phrase. If that was the case 38 games a season he'd be simultaneously the most prolific striker in the league and also crap.

He offered absolutely nothing, but was in the right place to just about head home when a chance was given him on a plate.
I mean, I'd settle for 38 goals a season in exactly that way obviously, but it's not likely!

If he's regularly scoring goals whilst having the occasional poor game, and with a few average ones, then I can't wait to see how many goals he can score when he's more consistent. The thing with Lukaku is that even when he doesn't play well he's still a goal threat. His positioning is great at times, and I especially like the way he always goes to the near post when a cross is likely to come in, he's scored a few from that position.

His general play was shocking again mate. Obviously if he was scoring goals every week I'd be a bit more lenient on him but he's not been since Christmas.
If we could get him for under 20m I'd definitely have him but for the prices that are being talked about his general play, holding the ball up etc. isn't good enough for me.

It's obvious he'd want to stay, everything about Everton is positive at the moment. We'd have to offer him a contract he wants but Martinez wouldn't say 'signing him is a priority' if it wasn't on the cards.
