Lukaku to Spurs

I'll have you a bet right now that his touch will never improve, i mean to the point were it is not noticeable how bad it is, i think it'll improve SLIGHTLY and i mean very slightly, he is 20 and a proffessional footballer, his touch wouldn't be this bad at this age if it was not a major problem for him

Is it a major problem for him though? He's the 3rd highest goalscorer in the Premier League from the start of last season behind Van Persie and Suarez. How can you argue with that?

And I think his touch will improve. Maybe not vastly but enough to improve his game. Like I say, him not having a good first touch hasn't exactly hindered him so far.

Deal...
You'd of probably won the league with him instead of Torres in your team.. err I mean he's rubbish, tell Roman to get rid asap
Who Costa or Lukaku? Reckon we'd have won the league with either tbh, goals in tight games have been the difference between us and City this season. Games like Sunderland at home, Palace and Stoke away etc..

Lukaku mate

Mourinho's biggest errror imo was loaning him out, but Martinez's greatest positive was getting on the other end.

Sure it might have no impact on his game as long as he puts the ball in the back of the net 20 times a season, can't argue with that like but i just get this uneasy feeling that if we spent that amount of money on him he's gonna end up doing an Andy Carroll

Yeah yous have done well with Lukaku, wish he was here tho haha
Well he's not mwahahahaha

We'll swerve loaning Torres off you next year though if you don't mind :)

Ba needs more games imo, he's a quality player when he plays more than 12 minutes in a row

Andy Carroll is a decent player I think but never in a million years was he worth £35m, nor will he ever be. Today I'd value him at £10m-£12m or so. As others have said, strikers are the most expensive position on the pitch and you really have to pay a premium for a goalscorer, proven or not. We managed to get £7m for Jelavic and £6m for Anichebe, which is insane but shows you how much clubs are willing to pay for a goalscorer. Altidore £8m LOL, Cornelius £7.5m or so etc... there's been so many examples of teams spending £10m or less on a striker and them just not cutting the grade at all.

Another thing with Lukaku is he's obsessed with football, he watches every Premier League game, looks after his body and is intelligent (knows 5 languages?). Carroll on the other hand gives you the impression that he's at the local pub every weekend trying to finger the council slag, what with that greasy pony tail of his. Creeps me out that man.

As a second choice I'd sooner choose Remy than Bony, but he looks like he's off to Arsenal and the rape case certainly raised a few alarm bells to say the least.

There was 4 games inbetween that goal and his last goal were he was gash
Lol.

Patterns.

He's great - then goes gash - then rests - then is great -then goes gash. He can't play every game for 90 minutes at the top of his game. If Kone or Traore hadn't been injured we'd be begging to sign him.

I bet he starts next year poorly if Belgium do well in the world cup. If they go out early, he'll start brilliantly.

If we swerve him I'll be vaulting the hell out of this thread in 5 years when he scores 30.

You can probs have him for 8m, I know his agent has been touting him around a bit. Reliable goal scorer but hardly a game winner.

Starting to do my head in now people quoting Bony scoring more as some valid reason why he's an obvious better buy, newsflash Bony takes pens, Lukaku doesn't and i think thats a 5 goal difference right their, give Lukaku pen duty and he'd be close to 20 and ahead of Bony
