Lukaku. Yes or no

Common knowledge mate.

We asked for Ba, they said no. They offered Lukaku - preferring Everton over West Brom as a step up test. Club worked out financials. Martinez called Lukaku a couple of hours before deadline.
Whatever way we got him, we got him. And I doubt Martinez would have been well aware how good he was when / if Ba was taken out of reach.

There's a few things we all agree on Martinez got wrong (for me: ruining the career of James McCarthy and neglecting to take defending as seriously as it should be) but signing Lukaku isn't one of them. Credit where it's due - he made the signing of the century so far for Everton (and yes he signed some duffers too).

Lukaku yes or no?
£28, £75M, £74M and £97M make a compelling case for Yes, but there's still at the back of my mind, a feeling that he's an 'all your striking eggs in one basket to the slight, but noticable detriment of the other potential goal scorers' player.

Lautaro Martinez may have some thoughts on this

I think a lot of top clubs are happy they bought a soon to be 29 year old Lakaku than Haaland.
As they also will be when City spend 130m on Kane.

I don't know if they have the money right now after Sancho and Varane but United should be pushing all out to sign Haaland in the coming weeks while they essentially have no competition.

It looks from reports this week he wants to go to Spain, and with Madrid not spending for 2 summers now, only signing they have made in 2 summers is Alaba as a free, they seem to be saving money for Haaland, Camavinga and Mbappe.

Also would Haaland go to United after the Roy Keane tackle on his Dad . lol

This will be good for the vaults when Rom wins the golden boot and your lot’s title hopes bite the dust again

It's the time where people see Lukaku score a goal and call him a beast like he's some sort of marauding Brazilian Ronaldo.

He scored a tap in, he's interested at the moment .....see thread notes when he was at United.
