Lukaku. Yes or no

I think he probably has enough hunger to still play well. He definitely didn't have the amount needed to come in and nail down a place in a team not built for him. On one hand I think it was reasonable of him to think they'd maybe work to make him the centerpiece after spending 100m. On the other I don't know how he could ignore that Tuchel is a complete psycho and was never doing that.

Tommy the nutjob aint falling for his BS.

Theres every chance he gets a move or Chelsea get a new manager and he regains his hunger, but currently he looks very bad.

No hunger left.

He got all the moves he wanted, he plays International football for a clown, I wouldnt take him back on a free.

Would be very surprised if Tuchel doesn't show him the door this summer. And it's back to Inter for him, until he gets bored and wants something different again. Never really realised just how big of an attitude issue he has, thought the rumours when he was at Utd were nonsense but seems like he is a bigger bell than I thought.

Who is buying?

I judge the quality of a striker on how many crucial goals they score. Lukaku is the epitome of a flat-track-bully. Can fill his boots against the dross, but goes missing when up against the better sides who generally have better defenders. Robbie Keane falls into that category. Played for a crap Spurs side at the time & a lot of his goals came when he loads of space to run into because the opposition generally played mostly in Spurs half. It all changed when he went to the rs as teams sit deeper so his opportunities became fewer.

Why? He didn’t “build the team around” him, he just happened to score a lot of goals against a load of absolute bums in Serie A, a league where Moise Kean looks like a professional footballer.
He definitely did build it around him and for bonus points he really wanted to build it around him at Chelsea which is a big part of why is relationship broke down there. I'm going to default to Antonio and say it can be done.

Lineker is a tier higher probably.

When talking about one career versus another you can't just send injuries aside imo. I wouldn't pick James over David Silva even though I think raw ability James was better.

Lineke was sublime - best striker we've had in decades and decades. I wouldn't pick James over Silva either, but that's because Silva himself was unreal.

He was easily one of the best players I've saw with my own eyes in the last decade. You only have to look at his stats too to know how good he was.

I do think injuries play a part in the decision, but for a lot of fans it comes down to their prime and their actual talent as otherwise too many factors come into play.

It's like Ronaldo (the real Ronaldo... the fat one) may not have had the length of career as others, including their stats, but for me he was naturally one of the best.

Prime Ronaldo in his day would go right to the top of my strikers list.

But also because of his injuries Ronaldo isn't in the same conversation as Messi or the other Ronaldo for most people. You can't just ignore it.

I think it might be better to accept that he isn’t the level of player you think he is.
What's funny is I'm not even really putting him up that high, I'm just also not saying he's not as good as Jamie Vardy or whatever.

Goat said he wouldn't have him back and I wouldn't either bit my reason is that I've seen Evertonians thoughts and it would be just as toxic as hiring Benitez was.
