Lukaku. Yes or no

Nah it is actually all of you are on the Everton reservation too much and need to venture out some.

As I said on here people ask questions of his game and treat them like proof that he's never been any good. Everywhere else people ask those questions as the reason he was never as good as Suarez or Lewandowski. Which is to say still quite good.
You say that, but Everton fans are the only ones that have any time for him.

Unless he's also big in America, where no doubt the Scourge of Spezia and Purger of Panama will be greeted with open arms when he ends up in the MLS, but in England, he left United as a punchline and he's picked up right where he left off since joining Chelsea.

The biggest blagger in football.

It's less everyone loves him and more that we're mostly sensible enough to say "the guy whose job is to score goals who scored about 400 was pretty good."

Of course you all want to judge individuals on team accomplishments which is how we get Jorginho as 3rd in the voting for best player in Europe. Hopefully we get past this scourge one day.

Yes, perhaps one day, people will see sense and start pretending that accomplishments in Europe's fourth or fifth league are worthy of top accolades.

It's about time Ciro Immobile got his due.

It is a team sport, end of.

Yes, we can debate certain individuals but generally over the course of an entire season you need all players contributing regularly enough to the team effort. If you play the same 11 week in week out and one player is not turning up for a high number of games then you will not win anything. That is Lukaku, he will let the team down in this regard on a consistent basis and for that reason he is nowhere near the level of the top players.

Tuchel has come out to ask people to stop laughing at him..... so come on guys - stop laughing at him. If he doesn't score loads of goals he will have to put water in his milk again and never be good enough to play for accrington stanley. who are they? exactly!

For me, Lukaku is in that bracket of what I call B-tier strikers. If you look back at PL strikers of the past, I think I would compare him to the likes of Hasselbaink, Viduka and Phillips. They were all good PL strikers who reliably bagged, but were never elite. There's no doubt Chelsea massively overpaid for him. Just looks completely out of place and lost when he plays for them. If they flog him I don't think they will get anywhere near the £97m that they paid for him.

Completely agree.
