He's not even played a game yet Ffs and you're already talking about making offers for him.
Remember Jo is my only comment.
Apparently Chelsea paid 10 mil for Lukaku, and that rose to 17 mil in add ons.
So humour me here guys, how much would we have to pay to keep Lukaku if it works out for him here this season?
For me it'd have to be 20 mil at the very least.
Jo's 6'2 1/2 btw... but i'll go with you on the 15 stone.Plus Jo isn't 6 foot 3 and certainly doesn't weigh 15 stone.
Should offer them half of the money we've got left over in January, so around 15m, to make it permanent.
Lukaku's signing is in effect Bobby raising the white flag with regards Kone. He probably already knew he had a dud in Jelavic, hence the Kone signing, but I think he really expected Kone to show us something - he had of course been bigging him up for us, even before he had signed. Well he's clearly a fraud, perhaps an even bigger one than Jelavic in that he's managed to convince more than one club he's worthy of investing heavily in - and then fail them.
This desperation move may or may not work out - but its already a sign that at least one of Bobby's initial moves has failed to deliver.

Jesus wept. He's not even played 90 minutes yet!

Lukaku is, in my opinion, just what we need - someone who can score goals.
His signing is not an admission that Kone is rubbish, he's a quality addition to the squad. Answer me this - would you prefer Everton with Lukaku, or without?
