Lukaku's signing is in effect Bobby raising the white flag with regards Kone. He probably already knew he had a dud in Jelavic, hence the Kone signing, but I think he really expected Kone to show us something - he had of course been bigging him up for us, even before he had signed. Well he's clearly a fraud, perhaps an even bigger one than Jelavic in that he's managed to convince more than one club he's worthy of investing heavily in - and then fail them.

This desperation move may or may not work out - but its already a sign that at least one of Bobby's initial moves has failed to deliver.
