The general census is if Chelsea buy a new striker we'll go all out to sign him permanently. Would you be happy spending all the budget we have left on him, or would you rather two signings.
 
can we please buy him in january with the left over money in jan. If jose doesn't rate him, just do it before anyone else can, he's never played a game for us, but would be around £15m amazingly spent.

and yes we do have money to spend before people start going off on one.

If he scores like last year id be happy with him on a perm and Barry joining as well. We have a decent squad at the min.

Time will tell though, it's a long season.
 

I am chilled out. Its just a hypothetical comparison of who is, who will be, or coulf be the better player and more useful to the team. Weve no more seen the talents of ross than we have lukaku in a whole season at west brom. Incidently I'm hugely impressed with ross hes gonna be some player.

If he can knock them in like he did last season then I'd be very happy with us slapping down £20m to sign him.

I'd be spending every penny we have to get him in permanently if it was possible. I think you might be right about that, I can't see Lukaku being happy about being on the bench for another season or out on loan again.
 
If there was any chance we could sign him in the summer -- say if Chelsea go and spend £100m on strikers like they surely will -- then I'd be angry if we didn't gather every penny we have to make a permanent bid. We must have at least £15m leftover from the last window, put whatever else we have and instalments and make a £20m+ bid.

It's probably not going to happen though. And the lid hasn't even played for us yet, so let's chill out. Just enjoy a hopefully productive season and see what happens.
