You can't just start adding other random costs into it. What next, the cost of half time pies ?

I can and I did, everything is relative, player sales "support" the day to day running of the football club, for a club that "lost" 9m in its last accounts, thems the harsh facts Mr Brennan Sir.

Did we buy a new pitch? And how much did the badge cost ffs?

Not a great deal I wouldnt have thought, ive heard the pitch cost anything from 200k to 2m, probably nearer the 200k, but who knows, I watched a vid and the groundsdude said he had been asking for the pitch for 10 years or something and was always told we had no moneys.

The badge wouldnt have cost that much either, but little things like this add up and IMO it should be factored into discussions concerning the dollar bills.

And since then we've gotten several players off the wage bill, attendances were much higher last season, and we were shown on TV a lot more at a bonus of £1m per appearance. That's ignoring the £20m minimum in TV Money we're receiving. Plus the fact that Kenwright rang up and said himself we could have bought McCarthy without selling Fellaini.

The 'Fer Money' covers Kone and Robles.

The Fellaini and Anichebe sales should in no way be required to cover the other costs of running the football club.

I'd guess the same.

I wasn't trying to argue though, just curious about what those could/might be.

Oh right, if Bill said it, it must be true, RIGHT?
What Fer money, there never was any Fer money, we tried to get it over 48months.
They shouldnt, but guess what, they do, I point you in the direction of the "Arteta money", not to mention the "Rodwell money".

I wasnt arguing bro, was just sayin innit.

BTW, S3 WC starts in 30mins!!!

We tried to negotiate the McCarthy deal over multiple annual payments too, doesn't mean the Fellaini money didn't exist. The Fer money did exist.

Yeah, thats all part of the "We didnt need to sell Fellaini" bullcrap.

I always thought you had an IQ above 50.

We already knew Fellaini was off and were still trying to negotiate the deal to be paid over multiple years. The point is that us trying to pay Twente in the same way in no way disproves the existence of the money for Fer's transfer. It either existed or it didn't, and i doubt we'd have flown the kid over to the UK if it didn't.

But thats what we did mate.

We agreed to buy the lid, we agreed payments, then we tried to change the payments, Twente told us to jog on.

Im only dealing in FACHTS here, im not claiming to be some accounting whizzkid, far, far from it, but I just wanna move away from "things we have been told" and deal in "things we know", we sold 2 players this window and we bought some others.

And you say we already knew Fellaini was off, surely we knew this in Jan, you know, when we "had the Fer money".

How could we have possibly known seven months in advance that Moyes would be at United AND would go in for Fellaini ? He seems to have been the only interested party.
