Baines' left foot
Player Valuation: £90m
Had a horrible thought.
Do you reckon Chelsea have a loan recall option thing?
Not if we've paid money to loan him. Unless it'd be refunded or something but I wouldn't have thought so.

If there was any chance we could sign him in the summer -- say if Chelsea go and spend £100m on strikers like they surely will -- then I'd be angry if we didn't gather every penny we have to make a permanent bid. We must have at least £15m leftover from the last window, put whatever else we have and instalments and make a £20m+ bid.
It's probably not going to happen though. And the lid hasn't even played for us yet, so let's chill out. Just enjoy a hopefully productive season and see what happens.
Problem being he's in the shop window right now and his price will rise with each good performance.
Up to the fans and the club to make him feel at home, which would be a big step in helping him make a decision if it ever came to that. I think he'd fit in fantastically as he seems to be very much a family-based person and we're well-known for being a family club. Just have to see how it all pans out.
We should be doing that now really. Just buy him outright, it's obvious how good he is.
You sound like Bill's accountant. If you add the numbers up of the signings + sales / loan fees and extra wages we look to have spent pretty much everything.

We first have to see how well Lukaku does at Everton, but you have to have a suspicion that Mourinho doesn't rate him.
Letting Lukaku go and replacing him with Eto'o was strange, moreso when Lukaku played quite a bit of football during pre season.
Mourinho wants Rooney and will get him in January or next summer , that may open up a window for us...but first let's wait and see how he does we may all end up disappointed.

Nonsense.
Fellaini and Anichebe out is £32.5m
McCarthy was £13m
Barry no loan fee and half his wages, which is 60k. Fellaini was on 75k a week.
Lukaku we've paid a big loan fee, just to support your argument lets say it was £5m.
That's £18m if you add McCarthy's fee and the loan fee for Lukaku. I'm dismissing Barry's wages because we've got Fellaini off the books. McCarthy's wage will likely be covered by the rest of Fellaini's wage and Anichebe's wage being off the books.
Where's the other £14.5m gone ? Unless you're saying agents have taken all of it. Must be the best agents in the world...
Martinez compo 2m, State of the art pitch, Agent fees, new badge, Kone, Robles.
They have to be budgeted somewhere though? Just because it comes in as transfer income, don't mean it's going to stay that way.You can't just start adding other random costs into it. What next, the cost of half time pies ?
