Lukaku

What do you see Lukaku improving on between 21-25? Versus what Bony can't improve on 25+

For me Bony has more potential.

Reading of the game, positioning, tactics, movement, control, discipline, team play, passing, short balls, long balls, everything really... all these things improve with experience and work, he's currently at Bony's level but with several years of experience to go before he reaches Bony's age, by then he will be massively better.

But again, it may well not be our decision to make. I've no problem with us going for Lukaku. Pretty much none at all in fact, but I'd quite like Bony if not.

Oh don't get me wrong, if we were to get Bony, I'd be made up, I think he's a quality player, I just think Lukaku is as good right now and has a greater potential to improve.

Your opinion and you're entitled to it of course, I just think Bony has been doing a harder job in worse team to attain similar stats. I think maybe also people see the player Lukaku will be rather than what he is now. Bony, at this moment in time for me, is the better player.

Decision making, back to goal play (he's only played that role for ONE season) and strength (he's still only 20.)

Decision making will improve yes, back to goal play no, strength? he's 6ft 3, 14 stone and FULLY matured - it seems he started puberty at 10 based on pictures of him at 13, Tyson never got stronger after being 20 years old - he was already physically matured. His testosterone levels will be at peak now.

Tactically he will improve as all players do up to around 28-30. Technically he is not going to improve and he needs to BIG TIME. http://www.performbetter.com/webapp...View?storeId=10151&languageId=-1&pagename=209

The flip side to that is:

A) He might be a tit
B) He scored loads of pens
c) He's wanted by his club, and is only a year into his contract, so, if Lukaku WANTS to sign for us, we (and Roberto) know what we're getting, and assuming Jose doesn't want him, we probably would get Lukaku for less than Bony.

He will still improve, just at a slower rate, all players improve as they get older its just up to around 25 they improve a lot quick, up to 20 is probably the greatest improvement spurt which is why Barkley's leg break was so badly timed (not that you can get a good one), but Lukaku has the skills, and the touch, I think a lot of it is concentration, he tries lazy flicks but doesn't put enough on, over hits it, that can be practiced.. everything can be practiced and improved if you do it enough, regardless of age.

I sincerely doubt that. All of these arguments for buying Lukaku in this thread have almost certainly have been weighed up by Chelsea. They look to not want him, but they don't have to sell him. And there's no way we can financially outmuscle Chelsea. Swansea it's not a given, but it's a possibility.
