I don't think he will turn out to be a 1 season wonder but there is always that risk.

All things considered I think £20m on Lukaku is a much safer investment than Bony. If we bought Bony though I would be really quite happy.

He probably is but I sincerely doubt Chelsea are looking for 20m for him at the moment. I bloody love Bony and I'd be made up if we end up with either.

your making a straw man arguement to which no one holds that position, I believe lukaku is better than bony and younger so can play for longer and will be worth more in the future it's a win win. I haven't heard any evertonian say "yeah we will win cups and competitions if we get bony but lukaku will be worth more in the future so i would rather take him" if someone doesn't agree with you it doesn't make it disgusting

I think maybe we were talking about Roms resale value really shouldn't enter into it as a factor. I think disgusting was a little strong like but you get what he means.

I didn't say it's discusting because someone disagreed i said it coz we can never just buy someone without the resale bol lox being spurted out every single time, a bit over the top of me to say it's disgusting though

But if you had the option to have two players who are of a similar class in the same position and one player can play for us for 12 years and another can play for 6. Age should be a factor when you have limited monetary funds

if someone believes that two players are similar in ability then surely you can understand why it is a deciding factor? On the other hand if someone believes Bony is better than Lukaku but wants lukaku over Bony that is when I would say it's the wrong attitude but I haven't seen anyone say that.

I think Lukaku potentially is a better player and if we buy him to develop him for ourselves and not for profit id have no qualms whatsoever about buying him. I just dont love the idea of buying a player and then offloading him when he reaches his peak, either financially or in terms of ability.

Yes because the player who scored 1 in 2 for Swansea is a better player. Maybe we should allow him to go a score 2 in 3 elsewhere.
