Would love him to stay... but if it means Chelsea want Barkley in return i would say no chance. We have gone down that road before when we sold Rooney, i just couldn't stomach losing another potential superstar. We need to add 5 quality players if they are free transfers or total 50m net spend i don't really care.

Lukaku for 20m i think we need to do it, if things don't work out then he will still be worth a few bob. If he doesn't come here then i hope he moves to a foreign land.

For me a striker is the hardest position to fill in the game. We've had a few brilliant attacking midfielders in the past decade but how many top strikers? Yakubu for one season.

Ross is exceptional but is he really better than Romelu? They're basically the same age and Lukaku has been more crucial to our success this year.

It's only a hypothetical and I'd love to have both obviously, but if we could only have one? There is no contest in my eyes. Ross is 80% potential, 20% finished product. But Lukaku is already a top player, with just as much potential.

I think the prospect of playing with Barkley is one of the main draws we have for Lukaku.

Anyway, I'd say something in the low 20s we could maybe afford. It depends on if Chelsea want to sell and if "Lukakuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" wants to stay.

Strange you could say that. Wasn't it only recently that Martinez remarked how Barkley told him how much he loves playing for Everton. Marttinez went on to say something along the lines it is a rarity for a young footballer these days.

I get the opposite impression of Barkley. I think he knows he will win things with us, is part of an ever growing squad and good times are around the corner. He's only shown small glimpses of what he's actually capable of doing so I wouldn't be keen to flog him. Regarding Rom, was excellent today and that's the type of performance we needed week on week out. I think 18m rising to 25m with add ons will seal the deal IMO and the best place for him and his development is with us.
