We are not skint. Casual estimations assumes we have roughly £30m available, whether we spent that's arguable.

Sadly, I think players like Coleman and McCarthy are saleable assets.

Spend £15mil rising to £22mil with add-on's and £8mil on Tadic. Round out the rest of the squad with free's and loans. Seriously, you keep Lukaku and add Tadic whilst not selling anyone worth note? I'd put that team against any.

Selling Barkley to buy Lukaku just continues the Everton trend. We need to start keeping our best players and adding quality rather than replacing. Maybe for the first time in years we actually have the cash to do this..if we can't get Lukaku then there's other top players to be had out there...we just have to pay the price

For me a striker is the hardest position to fill in the game. We've had a few brilliant attacking midfielders in the past decade but how many top strikers? Yakubu for one season.
Ross is exceptional but is he really better than Romelu? They're basically the same age and Lukaku has been more crucial to our success this year.
It's only a hypothetical and I'd love to have both obviously, but if we could only have one? There is no contest in my eyes. Ross is 80% potential, 20% finished product. But Lukaku is already a top player, with just as much potential.
