He's a £20m striker based on ability, and you'll pay £10m extra for his potential. Strikers who score tons of goals and have loads of potential are worth a lot of money, so you could argue he is worth that at the moment. I wouldn't pay it, but to his selling club that's what he's worth.

Yep, some people are acting like if we pay over the odds for his potential, and he doesn't massively improve, we'll be stuck with a player worth 50p.

It's very hard to judge Welbeck as a striker because we never see him played there.

However his technical ability is better (says a lot about Lukaku) and attitude is better.

Honestly I'm not convinced on either and I flip flop on Lukaku every week however after this World Cup if Bobby still wants him I think Chelsea will gladly sell to us for 20m. I can't see any foreign teams interest as he doesn't have the technical ability to play in their leagues.

Someone said Barkley's good for about 15 goals a season based on a fixed position say a full season at ACM, add to this he is going to be the main playmaker and do things that Lukaku couldn't even dream of, i'd say at least double the amount of what Rom's worth
