Lukaku

What we need is a 3 option poll.

Where will Lukaku play next season?

Everton
Chelsea
Somewhere else

Then everyone can declare their decision ready for vaulting and ridicule.

I'm going to say Everton.

Everton - Start 95% of games, both PL and Europe
Chelsea - Start 5% of games. Be the 3rd choice striker in a club that has already loaned you out twice desperate you constantly showing you're better than Ba and Torress (atm).
Somewhere else - Not sure where, but all the other clubs he's been linked to have already bought strikers.

My nail is in the "Chelsea will sell him and Everton will sign him" mast
It may well be on as Lukaku contract has only about 18 months to run at Chelski and if he returns I an sure I read Chelsea wanted him to extend it if he returned so fingers crossed it getting like a pantomime he's coming to us - oh no he is not! on EFC news now every article on him is contradictory, and he is on holiday perhaps mulling things over Chelski play with only one striker upfront so will they drop Costa????? if he decides to stay he will rarely play - his world cup was not a balze of glory {thankfully} but he and Ross are deadly combination for us!

Hes clearly going to sign for us. The only way he wouldnt is if he was assured game time at chelsea which he wont be.

Hes probably enjoying his holiday with his gf and said he will sort it when he returns. I would imagone that privately he will have already agreed this with martinez.

I would hope and think that's what he might have done, but i give up thinking lol,one way or the other, everything will be at a end in 43 days ,then we will no doubt be told that we missed out on this player, and that player etc, hopefully martinez gives us an idea when he gets interviewed after the tranmere game if its on/off or hes not sure one way or the other

That's nonsense. If he was bought as a squad player to replace Anichebe (as you claim, I don't necessarily agree with that), then scoring 13 goals last season would have been a MASSIVE improvement on Anichebe, who only scored a total of 18 goals in his ENTIRE 7 YEAR, 131 GAME EVERTON CAREER.

People are judging a player on a handful of games, only 1 start... it takes most players a run of games to get going. If people always wrote players off after an iffy start, then many Everton legends would never have become legends. The likes of Southall, Sharp, Watson - they all had iffy starts to their Everton careers.

I don't even mind people slagging someone off if they deserve it, but this rewriting of history regarding Kone is just silly. Give the lad a chance, a run of games. If he's still really poor after 10-15-20 games, then yeah, bash ahead.

I'm not slagging him off. Can you not understand a simple point that buying a 29 year old with no resale value is bad business for a club like ours. If you buy a 21 year old you will probably profit when you sell him, with a 25 year old you might get your money back. You get nothing with a 29 year old.

Also I wasn't saying that he would get 13 goals as a squad player, I said even if you where right and he was bought as a starter and got 13 goals it still wouldn't be good business.

i'm going to end up with half of GOT on ignore here. unbelieveable amount of gash being spoken.

do people seriously want to give up on one of the best 21 year olds in world football, 6 whole weeks before the window closes! just so we can have any striker, anyone, just anyone, for the leicester game? jesus christ.

There's no way Costa starts 95% of games. He'll still need time to adapt to the league and unlike Everton, Chelsea actually play 50-55 games.

Hitting thirty doesn't kill a players resale value so much any more. We got £10M for a 29 year old Arteta and plenty of players that age and older still go for good sums of money.

I think Jose wants more money and might even be delaying it until after we play them. Plus I don't think him and Rom are exactly great mates so he might just be doing it to annoy him.
