This Lukaku saga will probably run into August with him being missing from the squad that plays us leaving us all to speculate if he's joining or not. It's gonna be a roller coaster this.

pretty certain he hasnt been told to return to chelsea until 28th july - read that somewhere.

Given his age and amount of playing time i doubt Roberto would feel the need to rush him back off his holiday in order to sign for us. He bought in to everything last season, hes fit and strong and just done a world cup so dont see why there would be a massive concern if he signed for us just before the 1st game of the season.

It might not be ideal but i certainly dont see any announcement at all being made for at least 7-10 days...if we even sign him.

And theres still about 6 weeks of this god awful transfer window left!

Perhaps Roberto isn't rushing it as he knows the player is already settled with the squad and that along is no reason to push the transfer right now and overspend. Maybe he's got the deal virtually sorted and is spending his time on other targets, i.e Besic and Balotelli.

His agent is pushing an agenda and he's not covering himself in glory following. Just like Robinho when he moved to City, if he is here he will get all the opportunities in the world to prove himself, he just needs to get realistic about his position and realise good competition will help him improve more than being at Everton fighting against Naismith.
