This tickled me.
I give the lad rep in the end, just for reeling me in. I do reckon Lukaku's on though, would be made up.

Obviously none of us would pick them over Everton.
But think about it from Rom's view; big money, would easily score 25 goals in the Bundesliga (great attacks but generally bad defending), still high profile, speaks the lingo and, from Chelseas p.o.v, they might prefer to sell him to a foreign club rather than us.
I really hope we get Rom back, and yeh he'll be a bad t*t if he sacks us off now - and I don't think he will, - but if he did end up at Wolfsburg, I wouldn't be as shocked as a lot of people say they would be.
I counted 4 hopefullys...did I miss any? Someone remind me not to send this bloke to any high level, high importance negotiations!Apologies if someone has posted this, but confirmation from someone at the club that Lukaku fully wants to be at Goodison;
Former player and now head of recruitment at Everton Ian Atkins has revealed Romelu Lukaku wants to make a permanent switch to Goodison Park this summer:
“Hopefully. Those negotiations are out of my hands but I think he had a terrific year for Everton last year and I think everyone at the football club would like to see him back,” Atkins told talkSPORT.
“Hopefully he’ll be pulling the Blue shirt on next year. Things can be sorted out and he’s quite settled in his mind that he wants to come back to Everton and help us get back to that next level after the Europa League this year. And hopefully Champions League football the year after.”
“Hopefully Lukaku will sign permanently because he is something that I know the management team would like in at Everton and I’m sure if he comes in he’ll be a great asset.”

I think you're being a bit silly here. Most players do improve with age. There are some notable exceptions but most player tend to peak 26-29 depending on the type of player they are. Look at Drogba's record. Not that impressive early on. 12 goals in 64 games in Ligue 2 for Le Mans aged 20-23. Then 3 in 12 for a Belgian team aged 24. Then finally breaks through and scores 17 in 34 for Belgian team and Marseille move for him. Even his first couple of season for Chelsea were fairly average. 10 in 26 and 12 in 29. I remember Hansen don't a piece on him on MOTD slating him. The rest is history. Diego Costa has also been a slow developer.
At the moment, Everton can only sign players that are flawed in some way. If they weren't flawed then they would cost north of £30m and would only go to one of the big boys. If we go down the "if he's so good why are Chelsea selling him" then we would never buy any players because all of our signings have essentially been rejected by the richer clubs as not being good enough for them. Our transfer strategy is to buy good but flawed players and improve them so that they become £30m players. That's the only way we can compete. Lukaku is the most proven goal scorer and the best prospect in terms of potential to improve that we can afford. He has had two successful seasons in the league, knows our players and manager already and there is therefore very little risk of us not getting at least our money back in the future. It's a no brainer.
Hope we get him, I can see people point of view that he not perfect but if he was Cheslea would have him playing, he scored 33 goals in two seasons at the age of 19, 20, he strong and is hungry for success like Martinez. 20 million is an excellent price since Sunderland put a bid in for Borini worth 14 million. I've already heard from rs that they are signing a better striker in origin for half the price, well he more of a gamble then Lukaku in my eyes.
Origi looks decent doesn't he - Lukaku is a proper striker though.
He looks decent but lots of players can look decent in the world cup, at the end of the day he got 7 goals in 45 games for Lille, and are paying 10 million for him, just find it strange that the rs say better because he pushed Lukaku out of the first team in the world cup.
