So many strange things said by Roberto.

He said "There have been a lot of reports, some even saying I’ve told people it’s done" I get it's hard to interpret what context something was said from a quote but to me it feels like he's saying people have been saying it's on and that he said it's on but it's no where near as close as people are making it sound. We have all seen the video Bobby.

He also says “It would be disrespectful for me to speak too much about someone else’s player,” Im guessing he didn't know he was been taped in the video about Roberto but hebasically did say we'll sign him. I get Besic is a bit different because he's actually at the club but he does talk about Henen, we even published an article about him on our website yet he's contracted to another team.

I really don't like how he keeps bringing back the amount of players he wants to sign we went from 6-7 to 3-4 and now to the lowest side of that, 3. Let's say those three are Besic, Traore and Lukaku, that makes Besic our only new player , how is that acceptable for a team playing back in Europe.


I really love Bobby but I just don't like the vibe from those quotes.

The longer it goes on it paradoxically becomes more likely and less likely at the same time, if Lukaku is playing soft shites then perhaps we should just move on. Its obviously not a done deal otherwise holiday or no holiday it would have been done.

I get why it hasn't happened yet with it been a World Cup year and him going away but he's back on Wednesday and there's no excuses from then on.

I am half understanding of the above but doesn't seem to have held up any other transfers. I think in the published absence of any other reasonable offers for him it must be that we can't agree a finance deal.

I can't think of any other Belgians who have moved clubs this summer who had been at the World Cup.

Origi was only completed this weekend I think but other than that I think everyone is where they were.

Put Martinez in a 5hitty situation and now he will probably be very weary about talking openly amongst supporters incase some lid is recording it to satisfy this 'smack-head' like craving we have these days for information and to be ITK.

I think Lukaku is going to get lazy once he signs.

For the last couple of seasons he's gone out on loan to try and impress Chelsea, that's obviously failed (hence JM choices to purchase Costa).

If he moves, he has no one to impress considering we have virtually no other strikers. He's going to start every game.

Completely agree. On the face of it, from a fans point of view, it was great to hear the words from Martinez's lips. However, from a professional point of view it's damaged both Everton's relationship with Chelsea/Lukaku and Martinez's relationship with Chelsea/Martinez.
