If we pay £24m there will be no more perm signings of note.

Have to rely on the loan market for another wing/forward option. Not necessarily a bad thing, worked ok last year.

I'm not a huge Rom fan, I like him but he still needs to improve, however, I can see why he is worth that much. Just need to stop messing around and get it done.
 

Let's offer Chelsea 30m Euros, with 20m of that paid up front and the rest dependent on various things, with another 5m guaranteed. Then whack in a 60m buy back clause to tempt them further into selling.

Can't see we can give them first refusal on Barkley. I mean surly that's something that would have to be ok'd by Ross. Or even if that was something we'd agreed to, it means nothing if come transfer time Ross doesn't even wanna speak to Chelsea.

It will be sorting out the structure of payment and if anything maybe a buy back price clause etc.

Finally given he's been on holls, I imagine Everton didn't even want a deal sorting till now anyway. Why pay him a months worth of wages? If you now it's pretty much agreed anyway.

No it doesn't. You're using a quote rather than actually making a case against him - a club that can't compete with others financially uses structured deals to pay for players and tries to sell them for upfront fees and you are making this out to be a bad thing?

Show me the players we have lost out on, and then the league positions we've lost because of this. And, the other way round, show the players we haven't got proper money for because of him not knowing the value of anything?
