Lukaku

For the third he pulled the CB out of position and weighted a perfect pass to Baines, that was class.
Like the way that Baines acknowledged it, as soon as Naismith scored Baines pointed at Rom as if to say you set that up Also as he celebrating with Naismith, as soon as Lukaku ran up he again pointed at him and gave him a lot of attention.

I think that was the same pattern again last night. I didn't see much balance there in the way you say.

There is no question Lukaku prefers playing as a lone striker with the responsibility to get the goals. Lukaku is turning out at this stage to be the most expensive secondary forward in PL history.

Unfortunate hyperbole; you could make your point more agreeable if you ratcheted it down a bit

If there's anything everyone can agree on about Martinez it's that he brings out the best in players. Barkley, Coleman, Naismith, Hibbert, the list goes on. We have that manager and a 21 year old striker who, with the right development, could be one of the best around. Seems like a good combo to me.

How bad an offside call was that that stopped Lukaku in the second half? Just seen it on the OS - he was about 3-4 yards onside. When linesmen get straightforward decisions as badly wrong as that you'd like to think they'd get struck off the officiating lists. Truly awful. Thank God it didn't matter in this instance.

PL Clubs were forced to install goalline technology. Offsides could just as easily be decided in real time by someone sat in the stands watching a TV screen that has that SkyTV-type line across it marking the last man and the most relevant attacker. No stoppages required, just a green or a red light visible to all controlled by the TV ref. Incorrect, often critical, offside calls occur several times in virtually every game, compared to the once a season 'was it over the line' instances. I know what I think all that money should have been spent on.
The problem being that the goalkeeper could quite rightfully have claimed to have seen the flag and stopped playing. Not saying he would have saved it but unfortunately that's not the point

Was a goal sort of a complete centre-forward's performance last night, granted he was wrongly disallowed one. His hold up play was good and played a good part in the first and third goals.
