Was crap, not gonna dwell on it though.
He's not ever going to be an Eto, playing through balls, a superb touch, dribling around players, playing one twos ect. Hes just not that type of striker, Rom's best attribute is his ability to score goals. His touch is [Poor language removed] and it is been worked on, we all know he needs to improve on it I don't see why it needs to be made out like no body agrees and it's a new issue every time he plays. We all know is crap and its been worked on, it will improve but you've gotta give it time. He's not just going to improve over night. I know we payed a lot of money for him but we still can't expect everything from him, he is rough around the edges and its not an excuse but he is only 21 he's not going to be the end product, still has a lot to learn and improve on.
For me his biggest problem over the last few games is he's not spending enough time in the box, he needs to be in the penalty spot every time we've got the ball in our third. Going up for headers, putting the opposition defenders under pressure, trying to make something out of nothing and basically just been a target. What is going wrong is we've got him and Eto crossing paths, Eto will push up into the box so Rom will hold back and try and play the number 10 role which you do not want him doing or Ross will cut in so he'll stand out wide. It just got worse for him when Naisy came on two we had four players playing centrally.
I really want us go back to the basics, Pienaar on the left, McGeady on the right and Ross playing as the number 10 with Rom been used as a poacher it's going to really suit him and I honestly think he'd start winning us games our current attacking style just doesn't suit him at all, as a result he's playing crap.
