yes thats what i said,So because an article in AS appears, that confirms he's going and everyone who thought he was coming here was deluded.
Oh OK
he said he would have news on barry in the first full week after the season ended, not to mention the times he has said players would return from injury when they were weeks away, he aint always accurateMartinez clearly thought/thinks there was/is a chance. Do we LOL at him too?
That seems a bit harsh to me.yes thats what i said,
id of thought the people thinking we could/would/were getting him would be massively in the minority, so hopefuly not to harshThat seems a bit harsh to me.
And I've like your post and I can't unlike it for some reason. Bugger.
I think it's be harsh regardless of how many people you were referring to.id of thought the people thinking we could/would/were getting him would be massively in the minority, so hopefuly not to harsh
Well i think you are deluding yourself, there are too many things that wouldhave to fall into place, him wanting to come here, cl clubs not going for him, chelsea wanting to let him leave on a perm and the biggest of them all, everton splashing a gigantic chunk of their kitty on one player, when we need a bigger squad than last season.I think it's be harsh regardless of how many people you were referring to.
I admit, I thought it was a possibility, I still do. It's not that small a minority who think it could happen, I don't think.
I'd be surprised if he's been unaffected by his time here. He probably has enjoyed it and is quite fond of us. We aren't his first choice, but he's probably our priority. I'm not sure there are many clubs who can compete with Prem wages that would be in for him and present a realistic option for him. Chelsea seem quite willing to swerve him, which is odd, but he wants to be a starting striker, which he won't get ahead of Costa. Everton and budgets is the real mystery tbh, but we should be able to invest heavily in a striker of some description this summer.Well i think you are deluding yourself, there are too many things that wouldhave to fall into place, him wanting to come here, cl clubs not going for him, chelsea wanting to let him leave on a perm and the biggest of them all, everton splashing a gigantic chunk of their kitty on one player, when we need a bigger squad than last season.
if everton wanted him (which in a ideal world im sure they would) their is no logical reason for us to have waited until after the WC has finished. non at all

He is already a fluent Spanish speaker so moving to Atletico would not be a problem from the language point of view.Deluded is the wrong choice of word, Other than dortmund and Athletico who is else that are potentially interested in him are better than Everton Liverpool, Manchester city and Manchester united already have established strikers so he can't compete for a place there. Would chelsea sell to arsenal? I imagine he would choose Everton over spurs so in my opinion we are his first choice premier league team, It's whether he would want to move to Italy or Spain where he will need to Learn a new language adapt to the culture. To say it's deluded that a player who played for us last season might want to play for us again this season is just misguided.
