Who's gonna stump up over £28 million for him this summer? He'll have 4 years left on his contract so I can't see the club selling him for anything less than what we paid. He won't be on his way for at least another year I reckon.

There is the problem. Nail on head.

Watched yesterdays game back in full :cool: and the amount of times Barkley should put Lukaku in and he doesn't is a joke. Lukaku is screaming at him throughout the game. If we had a player who could actually release the ball behind Lukaku he'd be banging them in for fun.
So i'm not the only one who see's it!! FEED THE LUKAKU!

I think this is why the most vital position to address in the summer is the left wing - we need a Pienaar-type player in his prime. Tadic has proved what an asset it can be to have a true playmaker cutting inside off the wing. Baines' thrives off it as well, but we've got one of the best young players in Europe up top and we simply don't get the ball to him as much as we could do. Unfortunately, playmakers don't come cheap, but we really could do with targeting that in the summer.

I've said it all season, Rom got so much hate off fans earlier in the season and it really makes me question if i watch a different game. The amount of times he's asked for a ball, not received it or even more annoying...received it late and he's offside because of this.

True this, him also being out on the wing was also really annoying but that is down to the manager, with the right service and set up i am sure Lukaku would be scoring more goals.
He might not be worth the 28m based on what he has done this season at Everton but his ability in a different side might see him doing a lot better, an experienced manager with coin to risk might be able to see this.

Not for me. Had a chance to run clean through and fluffed his first touch, and the ball bounced off him a few times as well.

It was improved in deeper areas, which led to the first goal for example, but around the opposition box, apart from on one occasion where he shielded, turned and shot, he was largely poor.

He was one of our weaker players on the day and bar a small patch of form a month or so back, he's been torrid for the majority of the season in the league. He needs to improve dramatically for next season.
That was beyond turd.

Edit: The touch when clean through, I mean. I've ballsed up the formatting here and can't change it on my phone.

He did balls up a touch that would have allowed him to be clean through. But why should be having to do something sublime to get clean through? Someone play the fecking ball at the right time ahead of him to run on!

Then this some thing for RM to get hold of with the two of them when reviewing the the game video.

haha some comments i have been making all season starting to be thought elsewhere now

Have said all season Lukaku has no service and no-one looks to pass him the ball. The team has spent the best part of 30 games grinding to a halt if there is a defense in front of them and passing it to each other whilst our star striker runs about trying to find space that has now gone.

Put it one way, if Ozil walked into our team this summer, lukaku would score 30 + goals easy.

He'd have had two tap-ins if Coleman could cross a football. They were two golden opportunities to put it on a plate for him that we passed up after he'd made great runs. Thankfully we got lucky with the first one as the ball fell to McCarthy who scored and the second poor cross led to the succession of corners that got us our second.

The service has got to be better next season. Every game he's making those runs and we don't pick him out enough.

and really, he was in position to tap in McCarthy and Mirallas goals should they had squared. Which I am not saying they should have, just that they could have.
