Lukaku

As I post above, any centre forward would get sick to death of our slow build up poor crosses, but I agree he sulks a bit and there's parts of his game he has to strengthen - we were very unlucky today, but apart from the woodwork hit we looked lethargic all day!
We need a fast play maker to link up with RB, and just JM doing the moping up if Barry plays poor we struggle!
It is slow but he isn't helping by standing there with his back to goal. He has his back to goal 90% of the time, planted to the spot.

Anyone who is tired of the way his team seem to be playing has two options.

1. Grab the game by the scruff of the neck and let your performance inspire your team mates to up a gear or two. A kick up the arse, show the initiative.

2. Be vocal

For me he has very predictable movement I love lukaku but I personally think he lacks the touch to be one of europes best. He is however the best Everton will get under kenwright.

2 top wingers (we only have mirallas)
1 playmaker
=Early balls and pinpoint passes into him

= goals.

Well that includes 2 from the penalty spot with only the goalie to beat and his 1st touch was iffy :)
urm without those 9 goals we could be facing relegation as today - I do not care if they hit him and go in he was there Sunderland had luck, but they shot on goal as lucky as they were!
I reiterate we need a younger faster more creative midfielder to assist RB and our no 9! basically to be 2 up in twenty mins today with that system no chance 16 corners , and every cross was naff bar maybe one!!

They would have to be pinpoint you're right; he just stands there.

Ball control
Movement off the ball
Anticipation
Heading
Attitude

He should work on these things. I've put attitude in there too because quite frankly i can't stand the look on his face and his body language when he loses the ball, is caught offside, scuffs a shot or mis places a pass. The open mouth dumb look on his face, casually walking looking at the floor. There is no drive there. Watching him this season, its like he is just content ' ahhh whatever '. Its disappointing to see from our record signing.

He was awful today but i am surprised at some of the posts wanting rid of him.
He will end up being one of the best strikers in europe,we need to enjoy him while we can

This business about him going to be "one of the best strikers in Europe".

I just don't see it.

He can be very good on his day but those days just don't come often enough.

To me, the whole Lukaku conundrum was summed up today with that header down The Street.

FFS a centre forward who can't head a ball for toffee is only half a centre forward.

Defenders aren't scared of him anymore, he was an unreal impact sub and I honestly don't think he's got the stamina to put in a shift of the same intensity over 90 mins.

Last season he had a feared reputation because of what he'd done at WBA where they used him as a late sub when defenders were tired.

When he came on against West Ham for us away last season they absolutely [Poor language removed] it and it changed the whole mindset of the team, where as now he's just utter dog [Poor language removed] for 90 mins and no ones arsed abar him.
