maybe because you're not looking out for it... watch his next game for belgium (hopefully he starts)..

He's been playing football since the age of (enter a young age here) .. played is it 2 full premier league seasons now? trains everyday... if you're born with the touch of a baby elephant, then ......

I suggest we start scouting baby elephants.

If it was that obvious I wouldn't need to 'look out for it' surely?

maybe because you're blinded by some of his fantastic goals like alot of people on here.. its easy to love a striker when he's banging them in.. but when we require him to hold up the ball when hes out of form, he's garbage.. i hope we sign him, and i get proven right... just to prove i'm not egotistical.

I hope we sign him and you get proven wrong, because then Everton have a boss striker.

Ace.

I have already stated, he is obviously a great talent.. has some great attributes, others, which i consider essential, he severely lacks... posting his fantastic goals will not discard my point...

Which is what? Not being funny, just cannot be bothered to read all the pages back.

The ones I have seen though. You think he has a shocking first touch.

Not shocking imo, but could be improved, especially back to goal.

My view, for what it is worth, is his performances can be annoyingly inconsistent, which you tend to notice in strikers more than any other player, but his goal ratio stacks up pretty well, and I can only see that improving.

I just don't get it mate.

I've defo seen him have poor games like tonight.

But surely we've all seen him have cracking games where he's scored AND held the ball up well.

I'm not sure I'm the blind one here mate. Sorry.

that was sarcasm... of course i hope we sign him and he turns into an absolute goal machine.. but he cant control a ball.

Sorry, you posted as I was. I would say that is the area of his game that is his biggest weakness. Not that he cant control one, just that more often than I would like, back to goal, he doesnt.

He clearly can control a ball. I just showed you two goals where ball control was sort of vital in actually scoring.

You're confusing 'he can't control a ball' for 'sometimes he makes poor decisions and makes mistakes with the ball, and his first touch isn't the best'. The latter is an accurate representation of him, the former is you being over the top to try and make a statement.
