Lukaku's Everton Frustration

What he said may be correct, but absolutely no need to go running to the press with it. We've been nothing but good to him and he's effectively kicking off that Moshiri hasn't sorted him a dream team in 2 windows. No one would have begrudged him if he'd left in the summer but there's a classy way of doing it, this will just bring a huge load of unecessary attention on us and propagate the very 'plucky Everton' image that Moshiri and Koeman presumably want to get rid of.
There's one way to get rid of it. Compete. Rom has mentioned that we should if got a statement player in, others would follow. Don't forget it was the board giving it all Billy big balls, mouthing off about ambition, big players ect. We've brought in Schneiderlin, & sold Stones- despite his flaws- seen as a one in a lifetime gifted footballer.
Why shouldn't he tell the press, everyone else has been saying he's signing a contract, unless you think he's engineered that on purpose? Or should he just not say why he's not signed it, get dogs abuse at the match/online whilst the board let him take it as they've done to other players in the past?

In all seriousness he's said nothing wrong.

Just none of this needed saying or doing now.

Melts. Mainly his agent.
Just feels unnecessary with games still left.

I wouldn't be arsed at all if he'd said all this at full time on the last day.
But the press have said he's signing a contract. He doesn't want to. He's took that off his back and into the hands of the board. It was needed.

Football players have got too big for their boots.

Just go out and do your best while you remain an Everton employee, Rom, and leave the talk to the managers and agents.

From an interview when he was bought in 2014. In his time here I don't think he has shown respect to Everton

what an odd time to be doing and saying all of this, not the best advice from his agent here

A few months before the next Window seems like a good time to do it to be honest. Every single club in the top 6 will want him. It's up to us to convince him we will bring in the players this summer to compete with those clubs.

We should make sure we take no less then 80 million, we sold stones for 50.

I think your giving him too much credit personally.

He does not care about the club, not in the way we do. He wants to do well personally, if Everton can give him that cool beans.

I see where you are coming from but I'm not giving his ruthless agent to much credit though. I understand why he wants to go. He has no affinity with Everton Football Club. I support Everton Football Club, for better for worse, for richer for poorer. I have no affinity for Romelu Lukaku. He has previous form in terms of showing disrespect towards the club and fans, especially during international breaks. This last parting shot of his stinks.

Staring reading a few articles there. Started with a ray Wilkins opine on talksport and stopped after 2 paragraphs. Then went to the echo interview with Rom. Great read. It actually reassured me of a few things.

1. He never said he wanted to leave

2. He talked about making history with the club and not having the fans live in the past.

3. He said we were close to signing a few players over the summer but didn't name names.

4. He talked about the ambition he has and the ambition he wants the club to show.

If he goes, he goes. We will make a fortune from selling him.

If he stays he will help us get better and we should be able to attract better players.

I'm hoping that this is being used to help him get a better contract and hopefully a bit of brinkmanship with the board to get the players in we need to get to the next level.

I wish he'd signed but having read the article that quotes him directly I have to say I agree with him and im still reasonably optimistic he will sign a new deal.
