Yep he looked like an over eager teenager getting his first appearance when he came on , making a number of dashes infield when there was no chance of getting a pass threaded through to him. The problems that caused the second goal started when Stones was caught and hemmed in, Garbutt was the nearest player but just stood and held his position , I think Baines with his experience would have moved wider out into a place where he was now a passing option for Stones.
He's a talented player who we should hold onto , but still has much to learn . Equally, there's an argument that says he would have developed more if he'd have been starting regularly in the past few months. His turn will come let's hope he stays.

.....I'd be amazed and very pleasantly surprised if he's here next season. Surely he would've signed a contract by now, I wouldn't be surprised if he's not already got a move fully sorted.

Poor from the club, should have extended last summer and been trusted with game time.

Now should be getting games left back or left mid. Seems an odd one my guess is hes off but who knows

“It’s a shame that Bryian Oviedo is not fit because the way he has been fighting all season it would have been a great way for him to end the season playing. But Luke Garbutt is ready.”

Again, is it wise to come out and say that? In other words, Garbutt still wouldn't be playing now Baines is out if Oviedo was fit.

That's not going to make Garbutt rush to find his pen to sign that contract is it? His manager has just confirmed that when everyone is fit, he's third choice and he'd rather Oviedo was stepping in instead!

Looks to me like Luke is off and may the force be with him
Bobby is giving his coded messages "we did everything to hold on to this Phenomenally talented player but he wanted a new challenge" softening us up
