He feels the teams needs are greater than those individual youth players. How awful of him.
He has only played Ross out of #10 postion about 4 times over 30 odd appearances and at least one of those he played well (Arsenal at home). deulofeu got a lot of game time considering his injury, there was no suggestion that I saw that his appearances made Barca recall him, quite the reverse.
I'm unhappy Garbutt isn't playing and think it the wrong decision but in general Martinez has used the young players very well, especially last season.
it's a safety first selection, garbutt will be a better left back than hibbert if given a chance, if not just release him on a free now, 4 mill spent on a cm to then play osman there, sound, its just a shame moyes is no longer out of work, because we could then bring in a bolder manager

Roberto knows more about Garbutt than the rest of us combined. If he considered Garbutt to be ready / good enough then I'm sure he would have had no hesitation in playing him. At least we have enough cover that we can make a choice.
not that its hibberts fault but the decision to play him at left back over an actual left back was the worst selection error since steve watson started up front, martinez should hang his head in shame at that one, a real shocker

we had zero balance going forward with him cutting back inside and punting aimless long balls forward, let way way too many crosses get past him, absolutely terrible decision to play him there, I actually felt sorry for him, he was hung out to dry
