The kid doesn't want to be picking splinters out his arse next season by sitting in the stands or in the bench he wants first team football next season preferbley on loan then coming back to us, he's going to be top quality, the rumour about Deulofeu for 3 million aswell am a happy man

I'm seriously connected up here.

I'll tell a story before it hits the papers but a Sunderland player has donated to a local charity a weeks holiday in Disney land for a parent and child.

It's stuff like this which goes unnoticed but fairplay to Adam Johnson.

Err, Luke Garbutt though ?

Oh look, Roberto's to blame again.

Some feller who knows an ITK down the boozer was told that RM cost the club £18k pw.

*shakes fist*

Sounds like it just wouldn't have panned out any other way - in the sense that, Boberto can't be blamed for simply intimating his desire for Garbutt to stay as back-up... if that led to the negotiations being drawn out and the resultant interest from other clubs driving his wages up, then it's over other people's heads, I reckon.

If he signs he'll 100% be loaned out, because that will be the agreement, regardless of wage. We have Oviedo, 'kin hell he even played Hibbert there last season. Seems to me the fella is trying to have a dig at Roberto by making stuff up to go alongside his apparent 'ITK' info.

It sounds like nonsense to me.

For it to happen that way, Martinez doesn't get what he wanted and caves in to a young player and his agent and the club take a massive hit in wages (a million more per season than for the same player demands regarding a loan)...on someone who may or may not make it as a good pro...and one EFC could get a few million for anyway.

No way does a player like him run rings round the club.

Two months ago Oviedo had just picked up his foot injury and Baines had a worsening ankle injury both of which were probably hard to predict as to whether either player would be fit for the start of next season.

So of course Martinez is going to be slated for not being able to forecast the future enough to guarantee that Luke could go out in loan for twelve months.

It's just a transfer story embellished to make a bigger point over managerial judgement. It's pretty transparent I reckon...and predictable.

The alternate slant of exactly the same data is we were trying to keep our wage costs manageable for players with limited appearances and ensure we had cover for injuries before arranging our loans.

That is if any of of the info is true of course.
