This could be the most important signing of the summer.

Garbutt-Galloway-Stones three young players and potential England internationals playing together week in, week out.

With the other core of players e.g lukaku and barkley etc we have a new wave here to come through and totally reshape the side

More substance to this happening than Deulofeu for £3m

Contract offer is there on the table. Not going to beg him.

he's not going to sign. He would have by now. He'll end up at somewhere like Stoke, Palace or West Ham. And then he'll be sorry.

Just give him 20k a week ffs. Easily worth it!

Hibbert has earned more than that per week for the past decade and he's been abysmal.

Garbutt only needs to have one good season and he's worth 20m (see Chambers from Soutnampton to Arsenal). Easily worth it for his potential, and we all know he'll be good enough to sell for a couple of million at any time if it becomes apparant he won't make the breakthrough with us.

Most important signing...easily worth 20k....are you all mad ?

He has potential to be a decent footballer, but is a long way from the finished article. He is at best the third best left back at Everton and in that I am counting Galloway as a central defender.
If he is as good as people say, why is it that at 22years of age he is still struggling to get into the Everton team ?

I hope he does stay, I always have an extra regard for Everton players that have come through the academy, including Osman and Hibbert, but we have got to have some common sense about this lad.
He has to be given a chance to become a footballer before he becomes a star.
He will make stupid mistakes that will cost us games and will have dips in form. In time hopefully he will make a decent premiership fullback.

But, he is not in the same league as Shaw or Clyne...or at least not yet.

it's way beyond 20K a week.
He's been offered £30k a week elsewhere already, and we've matched it.

Hopefully. Anybody can see he's moving towards the standard of Baines without the assists. If he can add that to his game then he'll be top quality. Worth it for the potential alone. Sign him up lads.

If that is true then it is a sad indictment of modern football and a good example of why England are so poor. Offering a young kid who has barely a season of first team experience that kind of money is crazy. It will lead to him being less hungry, more distracted and put us in more debt. For me, at 30k a week he is not worth it.

the fact one team will pay it, means that's the going price unfortunately.
