..i’m just repeating what he said, Neil. Reading between the lines, I suspect he was waiting on Baines fitness, waiting to see if a LB came in and perhaps waiting to see if Galloway came back from Sunderland.
Bottom line is perhaps Garbutt will be registered as a last resort. I think this says a lot.

Has to be better than cuco but is he or will he be a top premier left back. Nope nope nope. So for me another one who has to be culled. But sell cuco first. Now.
Repeating part of a post I made a recenty, of the previous 25 Barkley, Miralas and Gethin Jones have left . Sam Byrne is not even around the U23s, maybe injured, but wouldn’t be missed , so four places available. Two in so far, plus maybe a left back so still room for Garbutt, particularly as Big Sam has indicated he wants to shift a few on. It’s not a ringing endorsement for Garbutt that he hadn’t been registered already , but common sense says that having a left footed full back in your squad is better than just leaving him out again.

So it is scandalous that we don't play a guy who is not even as good as the makeshift left back we have at present?
A guy who could not even hold down a place at any of the clubs he went out on loan to in the lower divisions.
