Horrific loan move to Fulham. Manager was a youth coach who had no idea how to progress youth players and was sacked 3 months in to Garbutt's loan, throw in the injuries and he never stood a chance.

Horrific loan move to Wigan. Newly promoted from League One with a manager in his first ever job, was sacked within months with them destined for relegation, pretty sure he got injured again during this spell but that's 4 managers in 2 loan moves.

Add in Martinez, Koeman, Unsy, Allardyce.

That's 8 managers he's had in the past 3 years is it any wonder his career took a fall off a cliff, Galloway is struggling with the exact same problem. Talented youngsters careers being mismanaged and not living up to their potential.

Could Garbutt have personality issues, possibly. But one thing's for sure when he broke in to the side he looked every bit the replacement for Baines had it not been for Oviedo being in good form before the leg break. Then he was sent out to the wrong teams, picked up bad injuries at bad times and has never had a settled manager, not hard to see why he might have an attitude after all that.

Can he still make it at this level, who knows. He's still only 24 if he can show the right attitude in training to Big Sam he's got the perfect opportunity to put himself in the picture with Cuco the clown the only option currently. He won't get another chance after this month, no doubt in my mind both Robinson and Connolly have jumped ahead in terms of progression from their loan spells so he needs to show if he's got the fight for it or not. It's only a bonus for us if he can re-find the form from earlier on in his career.

Had a feeling about him when he left Leeds in the manner he did. Superstar on Facebook before they’ve kicked a ball in the first team. Never looked physically strong enough for senior football to me, at EPL or even championship level.

And yet I remember being at the Emirates when we played Arsenal a couple of seasons ago and he was our stand out player that day. I think he has some quality but lacks consistency.

Didn’t say he’s without quality. Just lacks the physicality, determination & dedication required to make it. He’s not made his mark at any level.

It is interesting that he's seen training in Walcott's twitter video. But I've no idea if he'd been training in the first team all season in any case.

If there's spaces available in our squad, and as far as I know there is at least 1, then it makes no sense not to register him.

But it would be great if Walsh actually earned some of his wages for once instead of leaving us left to decide who is the marginally less gash of our 2 left backs.

99% certain he hasn't.
