Except he is as good as him, clearly. You don't have to be "good" to be as good as Cuco Martina, who would not get a game at most clubs in the lower divisions either. There is no good reason why he should be employed as a professional footballer.
He might get a game at right back for a lower league club, but not a single club on Earth would touch him at left back

You have twisted what I said. I don't know if he will ever make it at this level but at least he's a left back, it's scandalous that he isn't at least registered as an option when we have zero fit left backs!!!ZERO. Pure negligence that we loaned out Galloway and didn't register Garbutt at least for cover, even if Cuco continues you need cover. Do you know another PL club that would leave themselves in this position?

He'd get in some League 2 sides, but no way would he even stand out as one of their better players. I'm not over-egging how bad he is either. He is one of the worst footballers I've seen at any level outside the likes of the San Marino national team.

He played LB a couple times in pre season and thought he looked alright. Against Limassol in Cyprus he played LCB next to Charsley and also looked pretty comfortable that night. Always a big question mark how he'd get on there in the Prem though.

Of course, we needed to buy one but you need cover too. You probably need two senior players in every position with a youth player in energencies. We started the season with one aging left back and no senior striker. I'd fire Walsh for that alone, without going into the millions he's wasted.

At this point he cant be worse than Martina if Garbutt plays well in the PL2, and Martina isnt even that level quality. So if thats the case, why not give him the rest of the season to either stake his claim or move on?
