All goalkeepers go rusty after a long spell out of the side, Joel was the same when he originally came in. Only after they've started 5 or 6 games consecutively do we see what their true level is so it's not really fair to judge after 1 or 2 games.

That said, I still rate Joel above this bloke by a fair way. Neither is good enough for me but after seeing both get a decent run over the course of the season I know which one we should have started with and which one we should persist with until the end.

Joel, for all his faults, is a much better keeper than Steckelenberg. As Joel is still relatively young for a top flight keeper, he will continue to improve, Steckelenberg on the other hand, is only going in one direction from here. If we can sign a top quality keeper, and by that I don't mean Pickford or Heston, then yes, go for it. If not persevere with Joel and get a solid number 2 in.

tbf, we have 4 defenders to do the job of stopping them walking it in the goal as well. He was in a no win situation for that last goal.

Joel should be back for sure, We have lost 2 league games in 2017, yes he has made some mistakes but today was the worse we have done since the game at Stamford Bridge, and Stek was in goal then!

I just feel bad that Robles blew his chance to make the job his full-time. How bad it must be to be dropped for a bloke
